The buyers said yes on Saturday. Now someone has to get the deposit. Too often that means a phone call to read a card number, a check that may or may not show up Monday, or a payment link from a separate system that nobody on the sales team can see. Meanwhile the deal sits in the pipeline looking exactly like it did before the buyer committed.

Deposits are where a deal becomes real, so we put them where the deal already lives. Every opportunity in the Trove CRM can now have a Payments tab, where your team requests a deposit or one-off payment, sends the link, and sees when the money comes in.
Open the opportunity, go to the Payments tab and click Request payment. Pick one of your templates, like Initial deposit · $1,000 or Site inspection fee · $350, or choose Custom and type any amount. Add an optional note to the customer and a due date, then click Create pay link.
The link is ready right away. Copy it into any conversation, or Email or Text it from the same screen. Email goes out from your site's verified sending address and texts from your business number. Preview shows the page exactly as the buyer will see it.
The buyer doesn't need a login. They open the link and see your business name, what the payment is for, the amount and the due date, then pay on a secure Stripe checkout run through your own Stripe account. Bank transfer is listed first, since it is the cheaper way to take a deposit-sized amount, and card is there for buyers who prefer it. The money goes straight to your bank. Trove never holds it.
Each request shows its status on the deal: Open, Processing while a bank transfer clears, then Paid, with how it was paid and the net amount. The tab's header totals what's been collected and what's still outstanding, so anyone looking at the deal knows where the money stands without asking the office.
Real life doesn't always run through a pay link, so the tools cover the rest:
Those three are for admins and owners. For the office, a Payments page in the CRM sidebar lists every invoice across every deal, with totals for outstanding, collected and refunded amounts, alongside Stripe's own views of payments and disputes, payouts and balance.
An admin connects your business to Stripe under CRM admin → Payments. It takes about five minutes and stays inside the CRM. From there you choose whether buyers can pay by bank transfer, card or both, and build the invoice templates your team sends again and again. Templates are what turn "what do we charge for the deposit again?" into one click for every salesperson.
Taking a deposit often means the home is going on order. The Process Order button on the opportunity's Deal tab no longer waits for Closed Won. It now appears whenever the selected home is still a floor plan and the deal isn't Closed Lost. One click turns the plan and the buyer's design into an inventory unit tied to the deal, so you can track it through ordering, production and delivery. Processing never changes the opportunity's status, and if the deal isn't won yet, the confirmation tells you so.
The deposit request, the payment, the order and the deal history all sit on one record. Your salespeople stop chasing checks across inboxes, your office stops reconciling a separate payment tool against the pipeline, and the buyer gets a clean, professional way to commit while they're still excited about the home.
Already on Trove? Payments needs to be turned on for your site, so talk to your account manager, then have an admin finish the Stripe setup under CRM admin → Payments. New to Trove? Book a demo at buildtrove.com and we'll show you the whole path from first lead to collected deposit.
